He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering and sits on several academic and professional advisory boards. He is a recipient of the Pfizer Global Research & Development Achievement Award.

Bakken is a Global HR Leader for Innovation and R&D at Cargill Incorporated. In his role supporting the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Innovation at the largest private company in the US, he leads the development of innovation and R&D talent. During the 16 years he has worked at the food and agricultural goods supplier, he has held various roles, including recruiting and operational HR. Steve lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with his wife Mary, their son Will and daughter Eloise. Outside of, and sometimes during, work he enjoys travel, cross country skiing, running, cycling and a wide range of food and cultures.

Previously, she worked at Marsh and McLennan Companies, Bell Atlantic, RR Donnelley’s financial services division and New York. She currently serves on the boards of the Morgan Stanley Foundation, Storefront Academy Charter Schools, iMentor New York City’s Advisory Board, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council. Reid has a degree in Economics and Political Science from New York University and lives in Harlem, New York.

Bowman is the Chief Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Acquisition Officer for Bank of America. She serves as the chief strategist for inclusion globally, focused on leading programs, initiatives and policies that actively support the bank’s diverse recruitment strategies and leads a team of talent acquisition professionals responsible for filling tens of thousands of positions annually. She has been recognized on the 2016 EBONY POWER 100 list, named one of Black Enterprise’s Top Executives in Corporate Diversity, 2017, 2018 and 2019, was recognized in 2020 by American Banker as a member of one of the Top Teams in Banking, was named one of the 30 must-follow Diversity and Inclusion Thought Leaders by Findspark.com (2019), one of North America’s Most Influential D&I Leaders by Hive Learning (2020), and on the Top 100 HR Influencers List by Engagedly (2019). In addition, Comingdeer enjoys teaching yoga and serving on nonprofit boards, as well as performing with bands and orchestras in his local community. He lives in the Minneapolis area with his partner and their three dogs.

McCaskill also delivers African American-focused political, cultural, and economic commentary as an on-air contributor to SiriusXM’s 38 million subscribers, is an inclusive marketing expert for BET’s digital series THE GLAM GAP, and is an investor and culture consultant with two early-stage tech startups. He’s a Mississippi native (living in Harlem) with degrees from Morehouse College and Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Mayes is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for grocery store chain Albertsons Companies. He has been named one of the Top 100 Diversity & Inclusion executives in the United States. Mayes received a Bachelor of Science from Warner Pacific College and a Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law in Oregon. He began his legal career in the San Francisco area, where he lives with his wife Varetta, and has previously held leadership positions in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Sustainability,  Philanthropy and Diversity & Inclusion at Safeway, which merged with Albertsons Companies in 2015. He is also an accomplished endurance athlete, professional musician, vocalist, arranger, and bandleader who plays piano, guitar, bass, violin and drums.

She has led DEI initiatives for over 15 years at organizations including GitHub, Yahoo and Intuit. She serves on the Board of Directors for Abilities United, a nonprofit serving people with developmental disabilities.
